Thank you for your generous donations to The Giving Tree. Because of your kindness, our school community was able to provide 10 families with a little extra support during the holiday season. Together, you contributed $1,700 to directly support our families. We are so grateful for your continued compassion and generosity.
Alien Inline Residency
We are excited that Alien Inline Skating starts tomorrow. Each class will be able to have three skating lessons over the course of the two weeks, and we would love you to join us on Family Skate Night. January 15, 2026, between 5:00-7:00pm. More information is coming in next week's Sunalta Scoop. Thank you to the School Council for generously providing 100% funding for this residency. Because of their support, Sunalta families will not have to pay anything for this incredible learning experience. We are so grateful for their continued commitment to enriching opportunities for our students.
Exciting News! Trickster Theatre is Coming to Sunalta!
Don’t forget to Save the Date! On Friday, February 20, 2026, in the afternoon (time TBD), we will be hosting a whole-school Trickster Theatre Performance to showcase the amazing work our students create during the residency. We can’t wait to share this exciting learning opportunity with our community! Huge thanks to our School Council for 100% funding the Trickster Theatre residency! Because of their incredible support, every Sunalta student gets to participate at no cost to families. We can’t wait to see our students shine through this exciting, inspiring experience!

- February 12 & 13, 2026 - Calgary City Teachers' Convention (No school for students)
- February 16, 2026 - Family Day (No school for students and staff)
