Communication During Job Action: 

As we move through this period of job action, we want to ensure you are aware of how communication will be shared. All official updates and information regarding job action will come directly from the Calgary Board of Education (CBE). We encourage you to regularly check the CBE website for the most up-to-date information: https://www.cbe.ab.ca/Pages/default.aspx  Our school webpage will also be updated with any relevant details: https://sunalta.cbe.ab.ca/ Thank you for your continued support and understanding. 

Teacher Email During Job Action: 

Please be aware that teacher email accounts will be disabled during the Job Action. Teachers will not have access to any emails sent during this time and therefore will not be able to respond. Once the Job Action concludes and staff return to work, teacher email accounts will be reactivated. At that time, teachers will be able to reconnect with families as needed. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. 

Healthy Hunger Update: 

Due to the job action starting on Monday, October 6, 2025, our School Council Healthy Hunger lunches are currently cancelled for the month of October. We understand this may be disappointing for students and families, and we appreciate your understanding as we navigate these changes.  

Sunalta School Jacket Racket: 

With cooler weather quickly approaching, we want to ensure all our families have access to warm winter clothing. If your family would benefit from some support accessing winter clothing, please fill out the following survey and we will work to collect clothing to keep everyone toasty and warm! Clothing should be available mid November.

October Dates: 

The Calgary Board of Education has determined that all upcoming On-Site and Off-Site activities will be cancelled between October 6-3, 2025, due to labour action set to commence on Monday, October 6, 2025.
