Spring Weather
Students and staff are delighted to be playing outside with in the sunshine! Several classes went on walking trips to the Shagannapi Riparian and Triangle Park. Good walking shoes and a coat are important for our ventures into our outdoor learning spaces.

Sunalta School Council Meeting
Parents, please consider coming to our School Council meeting on Wednesday, April 16 at 6:30pm. Our grade 2 teachers, Ms Mackenzie and Ms Macaulay, have a special presentation to share. Coffee, treats and child minding are available. Meeting is in the library at Sunalta School.
Fish In Schools (FiNS) Raise to Release Program
Our rainbow trout eggs have hatched and the 40 fry are swimming about and growing into fish. Grade 4s are taking good care of them and learning all about life cycles, aquatic invasive species, environmental protected areas and the role of Parks Canada with their trout teachers. They look forward to releasing our fishy friends on June at the Kids Can Catch Trout Pond at Bow Habitat Station in Calgary on June 10.
3-D Printer
Sunalta School is excited to share that we now have a 3-D printer with all of the bells and whistles! Students will be creating designs and learning all about 3-D printing using the programs Creality Print and Creality Slicer.
Think-A-Thon Fundraiser
Our annual Think-A-Thon Fundraiser is underway. Look in your child’s backpack today for a package explaining what this is and how to donate or go to sunaltaschool.ca to donate now and learn more! The children love being able to contribute to their school's success by raising funds and enjoy working with their Buddies on this fun quiz that celebrates learning! Reminder that our think-a-thon fundraiser is happening with a quiz on April 24. Thank you to families that have already returned pledges.
