School Council and Society Meeting

On Wednesday, we had our monthly meeting. Mr Mitchell shared some of the exciting things happening in Grade 1. The grade 1s are fundraising to support the PADS service dogs that have padded through Sunalta School several times this year. The admin team shared a presentation on school development and budget planning with an invitation for parents to provide feedback. Discussions about an International Cultural Fair (after school) were also part of the meeting. Sunalta Society also met and changed the name to Sunalta School Fundraising Society (SSFS).

Whale of a Tale Book Sale

It’s back! Our grade 1s are excited to be raising money for the PADS service dogs. They have decided to have a ‘new to me’ (used) book sale. In order for this to be a success, we need slight used BOOKS and PUZZLES! Please consider bringing in books and puzzles in the next few weeks for us to resell. A notice about this will be sent home next week.

Pink Shirt Day

Our Leadership Club will be promoting Pink Shirt Day on February 28. This is an opportunity to have conversations about being kind, supporting others, developing healthy friendships, and learning how to navigate times of conflict. Students encourage everyone to wear some pink on Wednesday.

School Development Plan and Budgeting 2024-2025 Survey

On Wednesday evening our administrative team shared presentation regarding this engagement. Please take a few minutes to provide your thoughts. This survey will be open until March 6, 2023.
