Alien Inline

Many students have been sharing how much they have enjoyed alien in-line skating this year. It’s incredible to observe how quickly the students learn how to independently put on all of the gear as well as their excitement in skating alongside their friends Staff recognized the growth and risk-taking every student demonstrated during this fun and active residency. There will be one make-up day for some classes on January 27, 2025. Thanks and gratitude to all of our incredible volunteers (especially kindergarten). It made everything run seamlessly.

School Council Meeting

Thank you to all that were able to attend our council meeting. Mr and Ms. Clarke shared the interesting work they have been doing in computer science and the insightful trip to the Police Interpretive Centre. Administration shared information regarding assessment and reporting. Report cards will be available through the MyCBE portal. (online) on January 27. As always, thank you to our parents for supporting our school with pride and trust. We are a special community of caring and generosity.

Leadership Club

Our leadership club met this week to discuss how to bring a stronger sense of belonging to Sunalta School. For International Family Literacy day (Jan 27) students will be bring a special book from home to share with their buddy. Some students are thinking about books they read in their first language to celebrate diversity. In February our entire school will be working with North Mount Pleasant Art Centre artists to learn about how to be an artist. There will be a gallery walk of our artwork during conferences in March North Mount Pleasant Arts Centre

Lego Club

Ms. Aldridge and Ms. Eakins are hosting a Division 1 Lego club again this year. Students enjoy building and creating over the lunch hour.
