Student Learning Conferences
Kindergarten students will have learning conferences on Thursday, March 21. Ms. Beeksma and Ms. Kangles will send out information about booking conferences next week. Remember the last day of school for Kindergarten is Wednesday, March 20.
Grade 1 through Grade 6 will have student-led learning conferences after school on Thursday, March 21 and individual conferences on the morning of Friday, March 22. On Thursday from 4:30-7:30pm, grade 1 through 6 families will have 30 minutes to look at your child’s work, try some activities, and speak with the teacher. On Friday, teachers will be meeting with some individual families that they have contacted. More information regarding conference booking will be sent out next Friday. Thank you for being a partner in your child’s learning!
Pulse Hip Hop
It’s dance week at Sunalta! Students have been learning the coffee grinder, sit spin, and other ‘busta moves’ with Eli Everett, Ryan Everett, and Aaron Strickland from Pulse Studios. Families of students in grades 1-6 are welcome to see a performance next Friday at 10:45am in the gym. Kindergartens will present on Thursday, March 14. Morning kindergarten at 9:45am and afternoon kindergarten at 12:30pm. Thank you to school council for funding the entire residency!
Snowshoeing
Several of our classes went trotting to the playground on snowshoes this week. Everyone delighted in the sunshine and being outside. Thank you to school council for purchasing the gear!
Whale of a Tale Book Sale
It’s back! Our grade 1s are excited to be raising money for the PADS service dogs. They have decided to have a ‘new to me’ (used) book sale. In order for this to be a success, we need slight used BOOKS and PUZZLES! Please consider bringing in books and puzzles in the next few weeks for us to resell. A special flyer was sent home this week. We would love a big response! We need some volunteers to collect money at the sale on Monday or Tuesday during the day. If you have an hour or a half day to volunteer, we would love the help. Please email Rizza at sunaltavolunteercoordinator@gmail.com
Lates
Please assist us in having your child(ren) arrive at school on time so they are ready to learn and feel prepared. Supervision begins at 8:30am and students enter the building at 8:38am. School begins at 8:40am

"Scarboro Community Soccer registration is running now until March 11. There are teams of U4 - U12. This is a great way to meet other families in the community!
