Direct Donations
Right before the break you would have received a package from School Council in your child’s backpack. Give a read through the information and please take a moment to follow the link to donate directly to the school.
Every bit of your donation goes to Sunalta School to fund all of our field trips, residencies, technology, classroom supplies and much more!
Without your donations, we aren’t able to offer these opportunities so we really need your help! Our goal is $50,000 and we are only 1/5th of the way there. Follow this link and please donate today - any amount is welcome!
Extracurricular Activities!
Yoga for Division 1 & 2 still have spots available! Please visit these sign-up links for Div. 1 (Thursdays) or Div. 2 (Tuesday’s) to secure your child’s spot.

Winter Gear
Should your child require any winter gear, such as snow pants, jackets, or boots to keep them toasty and warm during the winter months, please email Assistant Principal Elaine Hordo at kehordo@cbe.ab.ca and she would be happy to help your child find cozy gear for playing in the snow this winter.
Understanding Ongoing Summative Assessment – Check it out!
Our teachers have now started publishing some summative assessment tasks in MyCBE/PowerSchool!
As part of our commitment to provide ongoing and timely communication regarding student learning, teachers will be publishing summative assessment marks for learning outcomes completed in all core subject areas throughout the year in MyCBE. You can find current assessment information for your child(ren) on your MyCBE account. You can find step-by-step information here.
Summative assessment in MyCBE/PowerSchool is organized by subject areas. Within each subject area, along with your child’s mark, teachers will provide the assessment name, the task description, the curricular learning intentions and the assessment rubric. This information is provided to assist you with understanding your child’s achievement and possible next steps.
