Have an exciting extended long weekend!
Monday: Sunalta School students have regularly worked with the drama group, Quest Theatre. On Monday they will be coming to share a special presentation of Snow White for the entire school at 1:15pm.
Thursday: Grade 3 students will be presenting a short assembly for students at 9:15am Students are welcome to wear a costume if they would like to. Students with carved pumpkins will bring them to the gym in the morning (Oct 31) for Pumpkinella. All pumpkins must take them home at the end of the day or Mrs. McCrory will take them home again this year for her homemade pumpkin soup! Student care will assist any students in aftercare with their pumpkins. Scroll down for more information.
All students should have brought home their Lifetouch Photos if they were at school for picture day. Please do not send orders back to school – order online only. Retakes will be November 6. If you have any questions, please email us at sunalta@cbe.ab.ca
Thank you to all of our volunteers, as well as school council executive, for our first family dance at Sunalta School in six years. Special thanks to One Nite Band for the professional music and lights – incredible!

BE CREATIVE! CARVE HARD!
When should you bring your carved pumpkin to school?
Bring your pumpkin to school on Thursday, October 31 (parents welcome to help). Please enter through the parking lot doors and take your pumpkin to the gym. Look for your grade’s table and place it there.
Who is allowed to carve the pumpkin?
This is a family carving activity so anyone in your family (mom, dad, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, uncle, etc.) is permitted to help you.
How many pumpkins may your family bring?
Your choice… you may bring one pumpkin per family or per student. (If you only make one pumpkin you will need to choose which grade table you are putting it on)
When should I take my pumpkin home?
You must take your pumpkin home Thursday after school. Students will be dismissed as per usual, and then you may go through the parking lot doors and to the gym to pick up your pumpkin.
