Crosswalk Safety Reminder 

Since Spring Break, we have noticed an increase in near‑miss incidents between vehicles and students at our school crosswalk. Although Mr. Clarke and I are present each morning to support safe arrivals, we are seeing that many students are unsure of how to safely cross the road. 

To help reinforce this important safety skill, we ask that you please review the short 2‑minute crosswalk safety video with your child at home. Please encourage them to remember and practice “Point, Pause, and Proceed”—making eye contact with drivers, pausing to ensure vehicles have stopped, and crossing safely and attentively.

Healthy Hunger

Art Cards by Kids 

Your kids should have come home with their sample Art Card on Friday, if not, it will be coming your way Monday for sure. If you would like to place an order, please follow the steps inside the cover of the card. The deadline for orders is Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Please join us for the next School Council Meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 6:30pm in the school Library.  

 

April Dates: 

  • April 14, 2026 – Grade 1 to Little Red Reading House 
  • April 14, 2026 – School Council Meeting at 6:30pm 
  • April 22, 2026 – Earth Day 
  • April 24, 2026 – Non-Instructional Day (No School for students) 
  • April 30, 2026 – Grade 4-6 Spring Concert (Afternoon and evening performances – times TBD) 

 

May Dates: 

  • May 12, 2026 – School Council Meeting – Annual General Meeting 
  • May 15, 2026 – Non-Instructional Day (No classes for students) 
  • May 18, 2026 – No School for Victoria Day 
  • May 19, 2026 – Grade 4 to Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area 
  • May 25, 2026 – PAT for Grade 6 (English Language Arts and Literature – Part A) 
  • May 26, 2026 – Grade 1 to Butterfield Acres

  • May 29, 2026 – Volunteer Tea (Time TBD but AM)
