Monday is a School Day (April 6, 2026) 

Just a reminder that there is school tomorrow for all students. If you are ever unsure about which days are school days and which are not, you can always check our school website calendar. https://sunalta.cbe.ab.ca/ 


Technology & Student Privacy Notification 

At the Calgary Board of Education, we use thoughtfully selected digital tools to enhance learning, support student engagement, and help prepare students for a digital world. All technology used in classrooms is carefully reviewed to ensure it meets educational goals and complies with the Alberta Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) and district privacy and security regulations. Families can be confident that student information is protected, and that digital tools support responsible, safe, and balanced technology use. Schools also share their Digital Citizenship plans annually, outlining how students build respectful and responsible online skills. Please check your School messenger email for the link to the Sunalta Parent/Guardian Technology Notification Letter 2025-26. 


Reminder: Final Read‑A‑Thon pledges are due April 6. 
Students have completed squares on their Reading Bingo Cards and have been collecting pledges throughout the last few weeks. Donations (cash or cheque made out to Sunalta School Parent Society) can be dropped off at the school office. Online donations can also be made at educationmatters.ca/schools/sunalta-school. Tax receipts will be available for donations over $25.

  • April 30, 2026 – Grade 4-6 Spring Concert (Afternoon and evening performances – times TBD)

  • May 15, 2026 – Non-Instructional Day (No classes for students) 
  • May 18, 2026 – No School for Victoria Day
