Trickster Theatre – It is finally here! (Please Read)  

School is buzzing with anticipation for this week's residency with Trickster Theatre.  

Reminder: 

  • Grade 1-6 students will stay at school for lunch on Friday, February 20. You will need to send them to school with a snack and lunch. Dismissal will be after the second performance at 2:15 p.m. 
  • Kindergarten students at Sunalta Student Care and will come up to join us for the performance and then return to Student Care 
  • Kindergarten Students who do not attend Sunalta Student Care will arrive at school at 12:20pm and be dropped off with Ms. Kangles in the classroom. Parents will be pick up their children at 1:15pm after their performance.  

There will be two performances on Friday, February 20, 2026, and we are asking families to only attend your child’s performance and then vacate the seats so we can turn over the gym for the next performance. Of course, if you have children in both performances, you will be able to stay for both. We are also asking that families only take up two seats. If you are bringing a younger sibling, we kindly ask they do not take up a seat but sit on your lap. 

  • 12:30pm - Kindergarten–Grade 3 (Doors open at 12:20pm) 
  • 1:30pm - Grades 4–6 (Doors open at 1:20pm) 

We have a videographer coming to professionally film both performances, and we will be able to upload these performances to the CBE/Sunalta You Tube Channel as soon as the recording is available. For your child to be part of the afternoon performance, you must complete and return the Media Consent form. This was sent home last week with a message from Ms. Hordo via School Messenger. As we are paying to have this performance professionally filmed, there will be no cell phone use during both performances.

Ramadan – Support for Students 

As the month of Ramadan approaches, we would like to share how we are supporting students who may be observing this important time. During Ramadan, students will have the option of accessing an alternative, supervised space during the eating portion of lunchtime if they are fasting. This space is optional and intended to provide a comfortable environment for students during this time of day. If your child will be fasting during Ramadan, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher to let them know. This will help us ensure appropriate options and supports are in place to respect and support students during this special time of year. Thank you for your partnership, and Ramadan Mubarak to those observing.

Family Movie Night – Lilo & Stitch 

All school families are invited to attend the School Council hosted event on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Please note this is a family movie evening and you must stay to supervise your children.
