Camp Read-A-Lot is Coming!

We are so excited to announce Sunalta School’s very first Camp Read-A-Lot! Get ready for a week filled with reading excitement and school-wide fun from March 16–19, 2026.

During the week, students will enjoy:

  • 📖 A Bingo Card Reading Fundraiser
  • 👗 A Dress Like Your Favourite Book Character Day
  • ✍️ Author visits for all grade levels
  • 🌞 A special Reading Journey Adventure, where students will visit different classrooms and can create their very own Sunalta School Sunshine Bracelet

It’s going to be a fantastic celebration of stories, imagination, and our love of reading!

Please start thinking about your favourite book character and how you might dress like them. We can’t wait to see the creativity shine throughout the school.

Happy reading! 📚✨

A Friendly Reminder About Being on Time

We would like to send a friendly reminder about the importance of arriving at school on time each day. Supervision outside begins at 8:30 a.m., and the school day starts promptly at 8:40a.m. Arriving on time helps students settle in, connect with their classmates, and begin learning without feeling rushed.

Even being 10 minutes late each day adds up to nearly an hour of missed learning time over the course of the week. Those minutes matter and can make a big difference in your child’s confidence and success.

Please consider setting alarms a few minutes earlier and planning to arrive before the 8:40a.m. bell. We truly appreciate your support in helping your child start each day ready to learn.

Thank you for your partnership!

Spring Art Camp at the Scarboro Community Centre — March 24–27, 2026

Grade 4 Families: Just a reminder to complete the Alberta Education and Childcare Assurance (AECA) survey before March 6, 2026. You will have been sent an email directly with the links and codes you need to do this. Thank you so much.
