Cozy for Conservation Day – June 5, 2026
Grade 4 students are excited to encourage the whole school to participate in Cozy for Conservation Day on Friday, June 5!
Wear your pajamas, coziest sweats, fuzzy socks or even bring your favourite stuffy to school for a fun and cozy day together. We are also inviting students to bring a small donation that the Grade 4 classes will give to the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area as a thank you for allowing us to explore and learn in their beautiful outdoor space during two amazing adventures this year.
Thank you for helping us show our appreciation while supporting conservation and outdoor learning!
Volunteer Tea:
Just a friendly reminder that we will be hosting a special event to honour all our amazing volunteers from this school year. If you have volunteered this year, you should have already received an email invitation. However, in case we missed anyone, we warmly invite you to join us on Friday, May 22 at 10:30 a.m. for a wonderful morning of treats, entertainment, and heartfelt thanks. We truly appreciate the time and effort you have given to support our school community, and we hope to celebrate with you!
Temporary Pause on School Composting Program
We are writing to inform you of a temporary change to our school’s composting program. Due to recent mouse activity in some areas of the school, we will be pausing our composting program for the remainder of the school year.
Our priority is to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all students and staff. As part of our efforts to discourage mice from entering the building, we are reducing all food-related waste that remains in the school.
During this time, we will be asking students to take home any compost and garbage generated during the school day. We recognize this is a shift from our usual routines, and we truly appreciate your support in helping us make a collective difference. By working together as a community, we can help address this issue effectively.
We are proud of the environmental responsibility our students have shown through composting, and we look forward to reinstating the program once the issue has been fully resolved. Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and ongoing support.
Lost and Found Reminder
Our school’s lost and found area is filling up! All unclaimed items will be bagged up on June 5, 2026. Please encourage your children to stop by and check for any belongings they may be missing before this date. Any items not claimed by June 5 will be donated. Thank you for your help in clearing out our lost and found!
