🎃 It’s the Great Pumpkin! Sunalta Pumpkin Carving Contest 🎃
Get ready to show off your imagination and creativity in Sunalta’s. It’s the Great Pumpkin! Pumpkin Carving Contest!
Students are invited to create a pumpkin masterpiece at home and bring it to school before school on October 30. Pumpkins will be placed in their judging categories and displayed in the gym for everyone to enjoy!

Healthy Hunger Lunches
Our School Council organizes Healthy Hunger lunches as part of the ongoing fundraising efforts that support our school community. These special lunch days give families the option to order a meal for their child, so you don’t have to pack a lunch on those days. To participate, please sign up through the link below:
We are also looking for volunteers to help with distributing lunches these days. If you can lend a hand, please click to sign up.

Jacket Racket
This year, we are once again pleased to offer families the opportunity to access gently loved winter jackets, snow pants, and other winter clothing through our Jacket Racket program.
If your family would benefit from support in preparing your child(ren) for Calgary's winter months, please complete the brief form below. All requests will be handled confidentially, and a member of our staff will contact you directly.
We want every child to be warm, comfortable, and ready to enjoy outdoor learning and play throughout the winter season.

Traffic Safety Committee
NEW this year: We would like to form a traffic safety committee. The committee will identify hazards, recommend solutions, try new approaches, promote education, and support active travel. Scholastic Book Fair
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them to become bolder, prouder and stronger readers.
When: November 24-26, 2026 in the Learning Commons
Students will be able to purchase books during the day. Parents and families are welcome to shop at the book fair during parent teacher conferences on Thursday, November 26.
All purchases benefit our school! Every purchase earns Scholastic Dollars that will be redeemed for books and educational resources for our school library. The countdown to more book joy is on!
