Welcome Back! 

Thursday was a morning of excitement, smiles, a few tears, as well as many joyous students, staff and parents. Thank you to our beautiful school council and Chair Stacey Selley for setting up the tent, coffee and snacks. We are looking forward to having opportunities for families to connect and join us throughout the year to build a strong, healthy community.

Lunchroom

Our new CBE lunchroom started their first shift on Thursday. Welcome to our new supervisors, Opal H, Iryna P, Samar A, Oscar C, Jacky H, and Linda L.

New Teachers

As well we have two new teachers that have joined our staff. Ms Meredith Eakins Grade 1 in Room 12 and Ms Catherine Irwin in Music. We have also hired a School Assistant, Julie-Ann Burdett. They are excited to be part of the Sunalta community. The rest of our staff remain the same and more information can be found on our website.

School Fees

School fees, which are used to pay for school supplies, will be uploaded to PowerSchool for families to pay online.

Volunteers

We will be needing volunteers very soon for walking trips and upcoming field trips. For cleared volunteers, you will need to complete an annual volunteer form which will be sent out next week. If you do not have a Police Clearance, please consider applying. Your first step is to contact the office to book an appointment to receive a letter to begin the process (403) 777-8590

Attendance

Please call the office if your child is going to be away with their name, reason, and classroom teacher. For extended absences, please email the office for a form to complete and have signed by the principal sunalta@cbe.ab.ca

Save the date

Grades 5 and 6 will be going to Kamp Kiwanis October 16-18. More information including a parent meeting to come.
