School Council Meeting

We are looking forward to our first Sunalta School Council meeting Tuesday, October 17 at 6:30pm. All parents are welcome to come and learn about how parents support and provide input to enhance learning and be involved in key issues. Administration will be sharing school start up and Ms. Castle will be presenting about life in the grade 4 classroom. Childminding will be available.

Kamp Kiwanis

Our grade 5 and 6 students and staff will be going to camp October 16-18. Thank you to school council and society for funding a portion of this incredible opportunity.

Drumheller Grade 4 trip

We will have a parent meeting on Tuesday, October 17 at 5:30pm in the library. This presentation will share important about this overnight trip and is mandatory.

Pumpkinella is Coming!

Ms Harnett and Mrs McCrory are excited to invite families to decorate and/or carve a pumpkin to bring to school on October 31. More information will be coming. We also have a fun assembly and students are able to bring a costume to wear if they are interested.

School Photos

Individual school photos by Lifetouch were taken on Thursday. Proofs will be sent home when they arrive at the school. All orders are done online only. Retakes will be on November 7 for anyone that missed the picture or would like their photo retaken.

Coffee Fundraiser

On Monday, October 16 in the morning, Scarboro Preschool will be selling coffee as part of a special fundraiser. Bring your toonies and loonies.

Hello Sunalta Families!

There is a Welcome Package (attached) coming home today from the School Council & Society in your child's backpack. Please take a moment to read through - it's packed with information! 

One of the most important initiatives in the handout is the Direct Donation Campaign. We do not hold any additional fundraisers throughout the year (other than a few optional "FUN"draisers) so this campaign of donating DIRECTLY to Sunalta School is the primary way we raise funds.
